Born in Saitama Prefecture.

He has a unique career as a hairdresser turned screenwriter.

After working as an animation producer since 2008 on “Summer Wars,” “Iron Man,” “Apollo on the Hill,” and “Tekyu” (cinematographer), he became an independent scriptwriter in 2016.

His major works include “High Score Girl,” “Hanma Baki,” “Cardfight! Vanguard,” “Date A Live,” “Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE,” “Toaru Kagaku no Railgun,” “Golden Kamui,” “Chihayafuru,” “Hajime no Ippo,” “The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor” (series composition), and many others, regardless of genre.

Currently, he is hard at work on four series compositions and two titles scheduled for OA from 2026 to 2028.
